Me too. It's dodgy... bordering on dishonest and makes me wary of them. I mean, if they're worried I might post something negative, then that means they realize they may DO (or may have done) something to make you post a negative comment. I'd be perfectly supportive of ebay making it so the seller must comment first before the buyer can.
My personal pet hate are US eBay sellers who won't sell overseas, even to Australia. To be fair some will if you ask, but a lot are shocked that you dare even ask. So much for the global economy!
