Gutters and Panels

The regular, 1st saturday of the month, comic drinks is tommorrow at the Grace Emily. So if you like comics, rock up and drink subsidised beers courtesy of Pulp Fiction Comics.

Yesterday's meeting was the most fun one in a while; I wish I could have stayed longer. Pete's exhibition idea sounds pretty damn exciting to me.

Yeah, i would have stuck around but didn't want to miss my ride.

i'm totally keen to put something in the exhibition, either a scan from Sureshot or seeing if i can draw something of decent quality and interest.

Interesting, what happens at these meets?

Back in the 90s there was something similar I sometimes went to; usually various comic talent in Adelaide gathering together at a cafe and looking over each others' projects. I'm not sure if they're still going or have any relation to the meet you mention.

I think the Panels and gutters evolved from those 90s gatherings. Before we met up at the Grace we went to the Earl of Aberdeen/Coopers Alehouse and before that i think there was some gathering at a bookstore around Norwood.

Ah yeah, the last one I ever went to was the bookstore one. Nice to know it's still going in one form or another.
