The removed post was in refence to Star Trek only.
I still don't get why Melbournians haven't patrionised previous cons.
I think there can be a big city apathy, where citizens of the big cities just accept the fact that if they don't go to the con this time it doesn't matter because they can always go again. I think this is the case in sydney too - whereas Brisbane and Adelaide usually go to these things in droves because we're always left off the list so we jump at the opportunity.
