British Comic month

Ganked from Lying in the Gutters July is British Comic Month. That means that the comic shop franchise Forbidden Planet will be celebrating british self publishers by offerring their comics for sale and other stuff (on the blog it doesn't really say much).

In the Forbidden Planet online store they offer 19 self published books. 19! That's fuck all, but FP are going to some effort to highlight them.

There was an attempt at having an Australian Comic month which was creator-based and that never really got off the ground. The problem which the local market isn't the product but visibility and distribution. So if only a local shop or shops did something similar.
